Improved
For this one, I adjusted the colors quite a bit, focusing on making them brighter. In the previous scan, the colors were a little too grey, which is not how the ocean/mermaids should feel. I added a little bit shading and highlights as well throughout the piece. Although it's not necessarily significant changes, it is what the piece needed. I wasn't here for the critique, so please tell me what y'all think about these changes.

Midseries Concentration
Little Mermaid
Hidden
Snow White
The central idea of my concentration is fairy tales re-imagined. I want it to begin with the classic fairy tales that we all know, and then move to international fairy tales, and then maybe I can make up my own. I have been using acrylics, watercolor and then I put in the details with pen or Sharpie. Often, life is explained through stories, and fairy tales are a part of that.

Opposites
Opposites, opposites. I haven't done much photography this year, so I focused on portraiture. Photography is definitely not my strong point, but I had fun attempting this. There is no editing on these photos at all. :D Yes.

Silk Painting
Silk painting silk painting silk painting whoo!
For this project, I would give myself a 3 because;
3A: There is some successful use of the elements of design, but the investigation of their application to 2-D design principles is emerging and narrow in scope
3C: Some imaginative ideas about the use of the elements and principles of design appear to be emerging.
3F: The work is uneven, but overall is demonstrates emerging technical competence and use of materials and media.
Silk painting is pretty fun. It's very different from the medias that I normally work this. Even though I liked this project a lot, I feel that I did not push myself, necessarily. I'm glad that it turned out relatively well, since I used so much resist. It would have been quite simple to add so many more colors to this piece, which is something I wish I had done. But overall, I liked this project!
